HOME NETWORKS

With the dramatic increase in everyday connected devices creating a huge demand on your existing system, having a powerful network that manages the flow of audio, video, and data has become critical.

Service providers just don’t care, they do what is easiest as opposed to what gets you the best performance. EOC Audio specifically engineers the most powerful and reliable consumer networks available.

Still Buffering?
EOC Audio Can Help

EOC Audio Designs and Builds the Most Robust and Reliable Home Networks Available.

Engineered specifically to support the new demands of smart home technology, learning from home, playing video games and working from home. Smooth streaming video for uninterrupted entertainment and security, high res audio for concert like sound, and accurate control of thermostats, shades, and lighting.

The system in your home is important to you and EOC. Your network is the foundation that all your phones, tablets, computers, cameras, automation systems, and “The Internet of Things” rely on. It’s what connects you to the Internet, streams your movies, and connects all your devices.

Having network problems, including  losing connection to the Internet, can dramatically affect your life, your capacity to work, or ability to  truly enjoy your time at home. Spotty coverage is the difference between watching a movie, and waiting for a movie to buffer. Let EOC remove the angst, with a properly designed network for your home.

GETTING THE SPEED YOU ARE PAYING FOR

EOC Audios creates networks that allow maximum performance both wired and wireless.

Chicagoland, You’re Breaking Up.

You pay for high bandwidth, but you still have glitchy, poor reception. Bad Internet connections are more than frustrating, they are a directly related to our ability to do our jobs, learn and be entertained from home.

With todays technology driven homes, the actual internet speed attained becomes more critical. Think about it, your house has more people with personal devices, and so many home based devices, all of which are connected at the same time. It’s easy to forget how much household stuff can be online nowadays: smartphones, tablets, video doorbells, smart speakers, smart TVs, cameras, appliances, alarm systems and more. The truth is, even with the highest data package available, getting the absolute best speeds throughout your home can’t be done with the standard hardware you get from the cable company (and certainly not with a “wireless extender”).

Do it yourself consumer-focused hardware such as Google Wifi and Eero don’t provide enough control. Newer Mesh systems (Nest Wifi) can help plug holes in your Wi-Fi but aren’t going to give you maximum speed or coverage.

Solving this problem requires building a custom network, and EOC Audio is the right choice to make this happen for you.

Proper Planning & Design

EOC’s upfront planning is essential to create an incredible WiFi experience. Taking the time taken to properly design and verify network performance can greatly enhance the user experience and eliminate issues down the road. Following this process will ensure the desired WiFi network result is one that  satisfies everyone in the families needs. Having installed thousands of networks allows EOC to rely on our real life experience to determine what the best combination of network components will be best for your specific application.

Radio Frequency Interference

Although not visible, radio frequency waves are all around us. Devices such as mobile phones, FM radio, microwaves, cell phone boosters, all broadcast various frequencies—just like WiFi. Some of these devices broadcast on the same frequencies as WiFi. As a result, interference that affects the  performance and speed of the WiFi signal can  sometimes occur. EOC will make sure that this is not the case for your system and we are always there for you before, during and after the sale.

Physical Interference

Various construction materials in the home can greatly affect the coverage area and speed of WiFi. Items such as stone, water, metal, and cement can change the  performance and coverage area broadcast from a wireless access point. The influences of the physical environment, and where units are located in the home must be taken into consideration when designing a robust wireless network.

Keep Your Children Safe

Take control of screen time, and safeguard your children against harmful content with router limits.

Our children are becoming more and more connected to the Internet, which can pose several potential dangers to them. EOC can create individual router limits to allow you to determine how much screen time your child has while governing what content comes into your home and what doesn’t.

Manage Screen Time & Social Network Access

Set Internet access schedules that fit the needs of each person. For example, filter social media for employees during the workday, or shut off the kids’ access to the Internet completely during dinner and at bedtime.

Filter Content

An extensive library of filters include categories like games, social media, and offensive content, as well as popular sites and apps  like Facebook, Netflix, and Snapchat. Filters  can be customized to your exact needs.

Track Browsing History

Various materials in the home can greatly affect the coverage area and speed of WiFi. Items such as stone, water, metal, and cement can change the  performance and coverage area broadcast from a wireless access point. In order to adapt to influences of the physical environment, construction materials and where they are in the home must be taken into consideration when designing a robust wireless network.

Is WiFi Safe?
Do I have to Worry About Radiation?

We are not scientists, we don’t even play one on TV, but there are varying opinions on this subject and we leave it up to you!

Wi-Fi sends data via electromagnetic radiation, a type of energy. The radiation creates areas called electromagnetic fields (EMFs). There’s concern that the radiation from Wi-Fi causes health issues like cancer. But there are currently no known health risks in humans.

This is a highly debated topic, and while most of what we read says it is safe, we would never make that decision for our clients. Depending on what source you choose you will get a myriad of perspectives.

Some Say Yes & Some Say No

If you are in the yes group then EOC will customize your network to turn off the WiFi during specified hours or in specified area’s. This is easily adjustable and our experience tells us there are a bunch of people who just feel safer this way.

Recent Project

We recently had a client who expressed concerns about this and we designed a system that shut off the WiFi in their bedroom overnight but left there daughters (college age) room turned on as she stayed up later and used her ipad during those hours. We also gave them control of the WiFi on/off from any of their smart devices, so they could adjust as desired whenever they wanted.
