Soundbars & Surround Sound

Soundbar

vs.

A Surround System

No matter how great your TV is, we all know the TV speakers are not good enough, todays TV’s are so thin there is nowhere to put good speakers. Understanding the dialog and getting the effects intended are not happening with the built in speakers. When you add a soundbar or surround sound system, the experience is leveled up completely. EOC will guide you to help you choose the audio option that is best for you.

Soundbars vs Surround Sound

When it comes down to it, soundbars offer a simple setup and affordability. Where a proper surround system offers superior sound quality and performance, but at an added cost. Both will create noticeably better quality sound for your movies, shows and sports. .

Soundbars and speaker systems both have their pros and cons, so where do I start?

Budget

The budget is always a consideration. Deciding how important the sound system is throughout the various areas of the house. and then making the right choices is a big deal to us, and we take a lot of pride in helping you make the right choices.

Surround systems

This is where the fun begins, selecting the proper components and speakers so you get the full experience the director intended, and not for just movies, regular TV shows, sporting events and Music as well. We will design a system that both meets your needs and desires, but also fits your budget. Each system is carefully created to maximize the experience and give you ease of operation while blending in with your space.

Performance

It’s more than just the individual components, it’s how it’s setup and adjusted, programmed and tweaked for your particular preferences and the specific room. Using the right cables and wires, protecting the gear from surges and noise on the AC lines and making the system simple to use, these all are part of the EOC performance concept that makes us so proud of what we do.

Soundbars run the gambit from as little as a couple hundred dollars to as much as $4000.00. They come two ways, active, with a built in amplifier and passive, without the amp, but with a built in left/center/right speaker that are powered by a separate receiver or amplifier. Some come with a separate Sub-woofer, typically wireless. They will usually sound better than the speakers built into the TV and because the majority are under $900.00 they are great options for a secondary TV location.
